Objectives: This module enables you to take charge of an injured person for primary care. The candidate will be able to assess the seriousness of the person’s injuries or trauma and to refer the injured person to a hospital or a doctor and, if necessary, call 112.
The trainer/rescuer is specialised in nature – adventure activities and related accident/incident situations. He or she will tailor the training to the target audience, the first aid equipment available from the tourist operator and the active leisure activities on offer (kayaks, accrobranches, etc.).
Subjects you will see in 7 hours:
- Minor injuries
- Sprains, fractures and strains
- Stabilising a victim for evacuation
- Avoiding over-accidents
- How to warn the emergency services
- Lyme disease, use of tick forceps
- Management of obstruction in adults and children
- Approaching resuscitation management
- Safety assessment
- PLS position
- Turning a victim over (face down to back down)
- Moving a victim
- Asthma attack
- Epileptic seizure
- Diabetic coma
- Hypothermia
- Severed limb
- Use of equipment available to the TNA operator (e.g. neck brace, stretcher, splint, etc.)
Price: 1 training cheque per person per hour of training.
Inter-company: The price for the 7-hour module is €140 per person, with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 participants per group.
Intra-company: The price for the 7-hour module is €870 for the whole group, with a maximum of 12 participants per group.
